Float Housing for Analyser Protection

Analyser protection usually consists of a coalescing and/or a particulate type filter to remove liquids and solids. But what happens when the housing isn’t serviced and becomes flooded with liquid? The liquid will carry over and reach the sensitive (and expensive!) analyser – we have discussed this on the blog before in this post System Flood Safety: Float Housing

Float Valve Housings for Analyser Protection

Low Cost Analyser Protection

As well as the stainless steel housing we talked about before we also have a range of low cost plastic housings. As liquid is collected in the bowl the level starts to rise, gas becomes trapped in the open-end of the float and it too starts to rise. The entire float assembly then begins to move upwards and eventually closes the valve and shuts off the flow to the analyser. This loss of flow is then detected and an alarm is sounded. Without the float valve the flow remains open to the analyser, substantial damage could be caused through the transmission of liquid into the analyser. Float valve housings can therefore protect you from costly repairs.

The housing is based around our proven NN112 and NN212 housings but we can also produce these types of float housings in a variety of materials. We have moulded filter housings in Nylon, Polypropylene and PVDF available from stock and can machine special housings in a huge range of other materials – just let us know what you need.
