About Us

Classic Filters was born out of a small realisation – that customers were not being catered for and that an obvious niche in the filter market was waiting to be filled. In 2001, Classic Filters filled the need for less restrictive bespoke filters and has since gone from strength to strength, developing products and supplying customers across the world. As specialists in particulate and coalescing filtration and with a focus on instrumentation and analyser markets – Classic Filters has more than fulfilled their brief.

The men behind Classic Filters are Managing Director Ian Bovington and Sales Director David Janes. Both have a working background with Headline Filters, where they gained product knowledge and a deep understanding of the filter market. Ian now takes charge of product design and production, while David puts his skills to use on the marketing and sales side, as well as developing the distributor network. Together with the rest of the team, Ian and David are the force behind the incredible success Classic Filters has achieved.

Quite rightly, everyone at Classic Filters is proud of their many achievements since those early days. With 47 distributors in 39 countries, the company has achieved an enviable list of high profile clients and produces products for a huge range of applications and industries worldwide.

With a local distribution service available globally, each client can be sure of the individual attention they deserve. This is evidenced by quick response times, quotes and the delivery of new designs in a timely fashion. The experience of the entire team means quick turnaround for the customer, a high level of communication and a quality product. In fact, quality customer service is at the heart of everything which Classic Filters does.

The original idea for the company came from customer feedback and current development also stems from their needs and ideas. This feedback has led to the availability of bespoke filter housing in addition to the standard models. These can be one-off designs or several thousand. Classic Filters also stock a range of innovative and unique products designed to work in conjunction with our standard stock and competitor products.

Further to the customer-led ethos of the company, Classic Filters uses their blog, Twitter and LinkedIn pages to inform their customers about new innovations, applications and products. Classic Filters believe in sharing their knowledge and hope that by doing so they will further develop their network of customers, clients and  suppliers. They also hope to stay at the forefront of innovation, new ideas and the ever changing technology.
