PE & PTFE Filter Elements

PTFE filter elements sintered from pure PTFE granules

PE and PTFE filter elements are available to ensure a full complement of filter media for our disposable filter elements and stainless steel filter types.

PTFE Filter Elements

PTFE filter elements (also called Teflon filter elements) are produced by sintering pure PTFE granules without any other substances used in the filter construction. These filter elements are usually offered only when 100% pure PTFE/Teflon is required. When used with our FF series PTFE filter housings a 100% PTFE filter solution is available..

It is normally preferable to offer a K type disposable filter element where suitable, as both pressure drop and service life characteristics are superior to PTFE filters. There are also cost advantages to using the disposable type filter element.

PTFE offers the performance advantages of a higher maximum temperature of up to 200°C, as well as better chemical resistance to certain substances. PTFE elements can also be ultrasonically cleaned.

PTFE filter elements can be supplied in 2, 20 and 40 micron grades from stock, Other grades are available to order.

PE Filter Elements

Ideal for applications where a low cost plastic filter element is required, Polyethylene filter elements are sintered using pure PE granules to deliver a maximum operational temperature of 150°C.

Due to the method of the construction these filter elements do not require seals.

PE elements can be supplied in a number of grades – 2, 10, 20, 40 and 100 micron.

Special Sizes and Custom Products

Our PTFE and PE filter elements are available in a wide range of standard diameters and lengths. These conform to traditional industry standard sizes that allow the elements to be installed in other proprietary equipment. We can also supply custom sizes and shapes to suit your application. We can even supply sintered filter elements with one end closed to give a cup-like shape. Let us know what you need.

We are able to produce special sizes to your precise requirements.
